How streaks work

Updated 28 Jul 2026

A streak is consecutive days with at least one correct answer. That is the entire rule. One toll paid, on any topic, and today counts.

The merciful details

Milestones

At 3, 7, and 30 days the app marks the moment. Three days running is a habit forming. Seven days, your feed never saw it coming. Thirty days, at this point the scroll works for you. Each fires once per run. Break the streak and earn them again on the next one, which is not a punishment so much as a second chance at a good feeling.

After your first milestone, Tollgate offers a Sunday evening summary. Offers, not enables. Your call.

The fine print

Your longest streak is remembered separately and shown on the streak screen, so a broken run still leaves a record to beat. And one honest edge case: streaks are counted against your phone’s clock, so changing time zones or fiddling with the date can make a streak wobble. We accept this rather than fight it. If you flew across the world to defend a streak, you have earned it either way.
